ROB MACLEAN

Business Mentor | Motorsport Pathway Founder | Author

Rob Maclean is an Australian entrepreneur, business mentor, author and motorsport pathway pioneer based in Hobart, Tasmania.

With more than 30 years of experience in business development, international motorsport, strategic planning and mentoring, Rob has built his career around one principle:

Creating opportunities where none previously existed.

TEAM AUSTRALIA PATHWAY PROGRAM

In 1994, Rob founded the Team Australia Pathway Program, creating international motorsport opportunities for talented Australian racing drivers.

Operating from Tasmania, the program competed in the EFDA Formula Opel Nations Cup at Zandvoort, Magny-Cours and Donington Park.

Working alongside former Formula 1 driver Martin Donnelly, international engineers, sponsors and racing organisations, Rob developed opportunities for Australian drivers.

Team Australia drivers included Marcos Ambrose, Jason Bargwanna, Paul Stokell, Stephen White and Ian Agnew.

Their subsequent achievements included V8 Supercars championships, Bathurst 1000 success, NASCAR victories and international racing opportunities.

The program subsequently expanded into other Australian and international racing categories.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Rob has extensive practical experience establishing and developing small businesses.

His background includes marketing, sponsorship, commercial partnerships, signage, property renovation and window film services.

Through Tastint Window Films Statewide, Rob has developed considerable experience in business management, marketing, customer relationships and service delivery.

He has also helped approximately 30 people establish their own signage businesses.

His approach is based on practical experience rather than textbook theories.

MENTORING

For more than 25 years, Rob has volunteered his time mentoring individuals, entrepreneurs, young people and emerging sporting talent.

His experience includes business development, career transitions, sponsorship, strategic planning and overcoming setbacks.

His philosophy is simple:

Listen. Advise. Support.

Rob believes success begins with a clear vision, practical planning, strong relationships and persistence.
